What the Heck is Deodorant Cream?

If you’ve shopped for a natural deodorant, then you know they come in several forms. Your traditional sticks and roll-ons, less traditional but easily recognizable hunks of crystal, and then little pots of what looks like lotion. Those little pots are deodorant creams, and they date back to 1888, when Mum was first patented and sold in Philadelphia by Edna Murphey.

Why I switched to natural deodorant – and you should too.

The internet is a wonderful, yet terrifying place. We can find information on any topic we can dream up, we can keep up with far-flung friends and family, and we can watch cat videos to our heart’s content. We also get bombarded with scare articles, misinformation, and offers from our long lost Nigerian prince relatives.  It’s a jungle out there!

Take, for example, the Great Aluminum Deodorant Scare. I’m sure you remember the uproar a few years ago over conventional antiperspirant/deodorants causing breast cancer, alzheimer’s, parkinson’s, and all other kinds of horrible things.
